Monel 400 (UNS N04400) is a nickel-copper alloy. It contains about 30% copper and 70% nickel. The combination of these two components gives Monel 400 excellent corrosion resistance.
Key Properties
- Corrosion Resistance: Excels in marine environments, resisting seawater, chlorides, and acids (e.g., sulfuric, hydrochloric under reducing conditions).
- Mechanical Strength: Maintains integrity from subzero to 480°C (900°F).
- Ductility & Formability: Suitable for cold working and machining.
- Thermal Conductivity: Lower than copper but higher than stainless steels.
We manufacture Monel 400 pipe & tube strictly according to ASTM B165 standard. Monel 400 seamless pipes are ideal for demanding applications requiring corrosion resistance and strength. While costlier and limited in size, their seamless construction offers unmatched performance in critical environments. In the production process, we will complete the cold rolling, cold drawing, annealing, pickling and straightening of the pipes. We do not omit any steps to save costs. Ultimately, we hydrostatically test every piece of pipe we produce to ensure pipe quality.
