Nimonic 91

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Nimonic 91 alloys consist of nickel and chromium, with the nickel content more than 50%. These alloys exhibit high-temperature low creep and are high performance alloys. Additives like titanium and aluminium increases the strength of the alloy. The commercially available Nimonic alloys are Nimonic 75, Nimonic 80A, 81, 86 and Nimonic PE11 and 16.
Nimonic alloy 91 is a wrought nickel-chromium-cobalt alloy that has similar characteristics as that of Nimonic 90. Titanium and aluminium are added as additives to this alloy. This alloy has increased chromium content for enhanced corrosion resistance in salty and sulphur-based environments. The alloy provides long service for temperatures up to 900°C. The alloy exhibits excellent strength, ductility and stable microstructure.

Nimonic 91 Features

Nimonic 91 is suitable for long service up to about 900°C. It combines good strength and ductility with stability of microstructure and excellent resistance to hot corrosion.

Nimonic 91 Applications

Nimonic 91 is intended for high-temperature stressed parts such as blades in gas turbines burning impure fuels or operating in marine environments.
