PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Titanium alloy GR.2 (GR2, TR340C, ASTMB265), its corrosion resistance is equivalent to that of pure titanium GR.1, its strength is higher than GR.1, and its Fe and O content are slightly different from those of pure titanium GR.1. It is commonly used in the processing and manufacturing of chemical equipment, seawater equipment, titanium welded pipes, seamless pipes, etc.

Corrosion resistance

Pure titanium GR.2 has strong corrosion resistance in many media, especially in neutral and oxidizing media. It can also be used in some dilute reducing acids, such as normal temperature to Boiling point of various concentrations of nitric acid corrosive environment. It has good corrosion resistance to most alkaline solutions, such as saturated solutions of barium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide, and magnesium hydroxide at room temperature, but cannot be used for boiling sodium hydroxide solutions. Titanium is not corroded at all in seawater and is also resistant to corrosion in most organic acids (except formic acid and oxalic acid). It has excellent corrosion resistance in wet chlorine gas and chloride chloride ion corrosion solutions such as chlorite and hypochlorite. Corrosion resistance in sodium chloride solutions increases with increasing solution pH.
